I have one more day (half day) of work before I am officially off for maternity leave. Of course I can't stop thinking about what's going to happen in just 4 short days! I know, most people say "oh you've been there before, you know how it goes already!" THAT is the scariest part! With Kinley I was super excited & ready for it.. ignorance is bliss! Since I had such a terrible time with L&D the first time, I am scared to death to do it all over again! I DO know what's coming & I don't ever want to go through all that again. Doc is trying to help me avoid all of it this time, hence the induction. I have orders to get my epidural as soon as possible on Monday morning. Just hoping still that she doesn't have to turn it off again & that everything goes 500 times better. Trying to have it a little more controlled this time! I keep thinking that's why I've been stuck at a 3 for 3 weeks.. the good Lord knows how bad I want it to go as smooth as possible & make it to Monday!! I guess the next post will be of pictures of my new princess! I know, PICTURES.. what are those?! I have been slacking in the picture department~but been a little busy moving! I will post pictures of her room as soon as we get the shelves I want in & hung up :D It's a been a long process!! Say a little prayer for us & that Presley is a healthy baby.

38 Weeks

Went to doctor again friday~ no more progress to report! She's mighty comfy. Big day set for Monday- 7 more days.. wow! (Not sure why this post says Wed the 1st!?)

And yes, it's that time again! The much anticipated survey..HA!

1. How far along? 38 weeks 3 days

2. Weight gain? 19lbs

3. Movement? She just started slowing WAY down this weekend. Yesterday I noticed I hadn't felt her move at all but last night she was a little more active.

4. Food cravings? Nothing new!

5. Emotions? Getting better

6. What I miss? Let's be honest..I'm tired, fat, cranky & stressed..I just want a glass of wine!!

7. Sleeping? Hardly!

8. Labor Signs? Been having "back labor" pains with the strong braxtons. I've had 2 real contractions. TWO. Whats up with that?!

9. Best Moment of the week: CLOSING ON OUR NEW HOME/moving in finally!

10. Gender? Hoping it's still our Presley Kate :)

37 week update

I had my appt on Friday the 27th. Doc said I am 3cm and 75% effaced now. She actually scheduled my induction date this time~for Feb 13th. Not sure that I will make it that far considering how things went with Kinley.. but every pregnancy is different so we will just wait & see :)

Our bags are packed & ready to go in case I go on my own. Now we are just waiting on Tuesday at 4pm to get to closing for the house so we can go get Presley's room ready!! FINALLY!

House Progress

We FINALLY have a closing date for the house- Tuesday Jan 31. It has been a wild ride for me with not having a house and being PG living with in-laws & my parents :) Kinley hasn't been in her normal routine for 5 whole months & it has been stressful on us all!! But.. well worth it, right?! Right! Now if we can just get Presley's room all ready to go before she gets ready to go!! We plan on starting to move things in Tuesday night.. I'm not messin around! Presley's room is #1 on the list & then we can go from there.

Here are a couple pictures.. hard to take full pics of rooms and what not but you get the idea! More will come once we move in & find my camera!

Presley's room! I know, it's blue.. no, Im not having a boy. It's going to kinda be the 'sky' is what I have in mind. Her bedding has lots of pink so it will break it up :)

Kinley's room on the other hand.. I didn't know what to do with it! Her bedding is pink/brown but she wanted her room painted too. I didn't want it ALL pink bc there is so much pink in her bedding. So I still needed it broken up. SO we matched the brown in her bedding & came up with this. Similar to the old house but much more dark. We will be painting again later when we change up the bedding~lol!! Oh well! Her new furniture is antique white so it will still break up a lot of it too.. old furniture (now Presley's) was brown.

Cross your fingers that we get in & somewhat settled before Presley gets here!~!

36 weeks

Sorry I have had NO pictures to upload to the blog or have anything interesting to talk about lately! Heck, I dont even know where our camera is! Guess we better find it before Presley is here! Which brings me to my reason for posting..

Went to my 36 week appointment this past Friday. I am currently 2cm dilated & 70% effaced! Not sure if I will make it to my 39 week induction but still hoping that I will. I am confused as to why the doc won't schedule it? She told me last time I just have to be progressing first & then she would schedule it- which now I am & she still didn't make the appointment. So we will just wait & see what happens!!

Saturday was my "sprinkle" for Miss Presley! This was obviously taken with my phone.. more on that next :)

Baby update

I went to the doctor this past Tuesday & since my appointments are not falling on the right weeks she wanted me to come in next week (at 36 weeks) to be checked. I can't set an appointment for the induction unless I am dilating bc I have no underlying problems.. so cross your fingers that I am at least a 1 by next Friday! She says she doesn't think I will have any problem dilating before 38 weeks bc I did with Kinley and this is baby #2 so things typically happen "sooner. " We'll see! Hard to believe our Presley is almost here!

Kinley & Macy get along so well! Kinley is always trying to tickle her & make her laugh in some way! My sis says Macy doesn't laugh the way she does with Kinley with anyone else, lol! They are fun to watch...

34 Weeks

It's hard to believe that I will have this baby in 5 weeks! I really hope our house is done so I can get in and wash clothes, bottles, get her room ready, ETC! It's been stressful but we are hanging in there!

Here is the monthly survey!

1. How far along: 34 weeks

2. Weight gain: 16 lbs total

3. Movement: 24/7! She is going to be a wild child I can already tell!

4. Food cravings: None

5. Emotions: You really don't want to know!!

6. What I miss: Laying down/turning over/getting out of bed with NO pain, walking with no pain. I've been having a lot of pelvic pain. Doc said it is from a certain hormone that releases when delivery "draws near" (had this forever) and it loosens all the ligaments & is pretty painful. It feels like my pelvis has broken apart! It's pretty extreme at night.

I also miss having what little bit of social life I had! I don't want to do anything with friends - so, sorry if I have offended anyone :( LOL! Im just not into it feeling so big & uncomfortable.. no clothes to wear.. lol! I'll be back to normal soon!

7. Sleep: I'm sure u can guess after reading #6 that it is rough at night! I am def getting ready for no sleep when Presley is here bc I don't sleep much now.

8. Labor signs: No true labor signs. A couple nights ago I had one BH after another for about 2 hrs - then had one big one all the way up my belly but only on the left side. I've had them the entire pregnancy but they seem to be coming more & more now. This chickadee better stay put till we are moved in our house- lol!

9. Best moment of week/month: I guess Christmas in general even tho Presley isn't here. It was a much needed vacation & Kinley was excited! She was all about Santa this year!

I am so late on posting this! Our good friends threw us a diaper shower a couple weeks ago. Cammy and I are due 2 weeks apart from each other so everyone decided on having one together :) A big thank you to our sweet friends for doing this for us! I appreciate everything!

Christmas morning I had to wake Kinley up (never have to do that!) bc she had been up ALL night long with a bad cough- none of us got any sleep..probably the last hour or so before my alarm went off! She was still excited to get up and going tho! Macy was here too for Christmas morning so Santa left lots of goodies for both of them!

This past weekend was SUPER fun! Friday we had a chinese christmas with our friends at their house. I didn't bring my camera tho & I dropped my cell phone on the floor underneath the couch so it sat there all night until we got ready to leave- ugh! It was really fun tho- we got home with a bottle of wine & some cute mugs with spoons for coffee/hot chocolate :)

Saturday my parents treated us to a day in Grapevine- the "Christmas Capital of Texas"..and it was a blast! We decided to do "ICE-Shrek the Halls" at the Gaylord instead of the Polar Express. I'm glad we did- the kids were just beside themselves! It was COLD- especially in the ice sliding room- but we loved every minute of it!

Sunday I had a joint diaper shower with Cammy. Given by my long time high school friends. That is another post tho :)

After ICE we did SNOW..lol! Snow tubing- it was so fun but kinda disappointing. The ticket was good for 10 rides but they only let u do 2 and they take the tube away & tell u to go get back at the end of the line...which is about 30 mins long! So they only went twice & Kinley cried :( Oh well!

After ICE/SNOW we walked around the Gaylord & snapped some pictures. .

I ran into an old friend of mine, Lacy! We played years of softball together & were best buds back in the day! She has a sweet little boy now that Im glad I got to meet! Check out the background- is that guy proposing??

Then we stopped for drinks & the kids ran around & played..got a cute shot of them :)

We left the Gaylord & headed downtown where the rest of the festivities were. Kinley & Connor went "ice skating" .. although it was NOT ice! It was just a plastic board with flat ice skates. No one could get off the walls & enjoy themselves. Thank goodness it was only $10 for J & K to go. But, she still had an ok time doing it!

And then we walked our way down to the light show at the Gazebo with a stop in the manger first..haha!

Thanks Nana & PaPa for such a fun day! I hope we can make it back every year!

I can't believe how fast it has gone & how much she has changed!! I remember trying to take pictures of her in her white dress when she was only 2 months old- doesn't seem like that long ago :(

Saturday was Macy's FIRST birthday!!! I seriously can't believe it has been 1 year since she was born! It really does seem like yesterday that we welcomed her into this world! 30 weeks

Did I just say 30 WEEKS?! At first this pregnancy was CREEPING along & now its almost over. I'm glad I still have 9 weeks left bc things are def not ready on the home front for her, but I just can't get over that I am this far along.

I had my glucose test at 29 weeks & I passed that but my iron count came back too low so doc said I am anemic & need to start iron pills ASAP. We don't want any blood transfusions at birth!

Here is my monthly "survey", enjoy.

2. Weight gain: 11 lbs, dropped a pound at my 29 week appt- even thru Thanksgiving- how is that even possible?!

Today is Jeffrey's 29th birthday!! I seriously can't believe we will be 30 so soon! OMG!

We had a fun little celebration for him on Sunday night. We took him to our storage building where both of his presents (from me/kinley & his parents) were hiding! They were too big to wrap so they had to hide somewhere :) And then we headed over to Ninfa's for some yummy dinner. Hard to believe we have spent the last 13 of his 29 birthdays together :) I hope we have many more ahead to celebrate & I can't wait for Presley to be able to celebrate his big 3-0!!

After breakfast with Santa we headed down to Killeen to have our 3d/4d ultrasound done of Presley. The tech doing it was so nice & really took her time. In fact we paid for a 15 min session & got 21 minutes of DVD ;) She looks like her sister but a little more like me this time around. She is a good mix of me & Jeffrey where as Kinley was ALL daddy! I tried to pick the best ones out of about 65 pictures...

At the end she opened her eyes for us but she didn't get a good shot of it. And her legs were crossed like a little lady- no shot of that either but it sure was cute ;)

And this is her big sister when we had hers done! I think they look alike but only time will tell! (not sure why this keeps coming up as a link.. can't fix it!!!)

I Am Thankful

There are so many things we all have to be thankful for. Most of which we take for granted like our freedom. With the whole world seeming to be falling apart these days, I am that much more thankful for my freedom & thankful for all of our Military. I guess with Alex being a Marine & giving us the insight into it all- really makes us even more thankful.

As usual, I made my little list of things that I enjoy every day & am thankful for:

*Jeffrey & Kinley~ I wouldn't be ME without those 2! I am so thankful God put them into my life to stay :)

*Presley~ Even tho she is not here yet, I'm thankful that I have been able to carry her & I can't wait for her to show me that it is possible to love another child as much as I already love Kinley!

*Family~ Without family we would have a hole in our lives. They complete our happy little circle!

*Friends~ Sometimes u just need another shoulder to cry on or an ear to talk in! I have had my friends for such a long time & I'm thankful for all of them. Whether it's to have someone to lean on or just to have the girls (and guys) to have fun with.. I'm glad we have them!

*Our new home~ it is what we have worked for & even talked about since we were in high school. I'm so thankful we had the opportunity to start the next chapter in our lives. To many it is viewed as "materialistic and not necessary to live a happy life" but to us it is a part of raising our family & something we have always strived for & worked hard to have. Jeffrey moved a LOT in his childhood & I didn't have a house that I called "home" and grew up in until I was about 10. So it is something we want for our family. I don't want to move my kids around from house to house - I want to be able to live here & have their friends over & have Holiday get togethers at our house. It is not materialistic to me, it is a part of how we want to have our kiddos raised.

*Our jobs~ so thankful that we have them, period! We all know how hard it is to find jobs today. Jeffreys job is wonderful. They are so good to him & he loves what he does. I think that is rare these days. I love my job as well, I love all the people I work with. We are one big family here- that is not something many people can say!

*Happiness~ I am very thankful that I am happy in my life & have everything I need to be happy. It's really the little things that count!

*Doctors~ Sounds silly but I am also thankful we have doctors. They have brought Kinley into this world & helped her when has been so sick. And kept me safe during both of my pregnancies. What would we do without them?!

* Rangers & Colts~ What can I say.. they both make me happy as a lark..even tho one lost the last 2 World Series & the other hasn't won a game this season-lol. I think we all know the importance that Peyton has on the team ;)

*Movies~ Oh I'm so thankful for them! We are a movie loving family & there's not many we can't quote :)

*Kirklands & Hobby Lobby~ Ok NOW my materialistic side can come out! I could shop all day long in either store- they make me one happy chick!

*Vacations~ I don't know anyone who isn't thankful for a vacation! Whether we take 1 a year or 5 a year (I wish), I am thankful for anything we get to do! I enjoy taking Kinley to new places or just spending time with Jeffrey. It's time to reload & just be happy!

*Holidays/Christmas spirit~ Yea, I am a huge Halloween fan.. but is there really anything better than the Holidays? I am thankful that we can enjoy our family time during them & watch MOVIES (can u say Christmas Vacation?) & of course see Kinley's face on Christmas morning!!! And I think overall that people in general are just more pleasant (I'm sure most retail folks would highly disagree with me there)!! Can't forget black friday~ it is one of my favorite days of the year!

*Memories~ This is probably one of the main things I am thankful for. What would we do without our memories? They are there when the camera or recorder wasn't & no one can ever take them away from us.

I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving~so hard to believe it is NEXT WEEK!! This whole year has just flown by! I know I will be thankful to only work Monday & 1/2 day on Tuesday next week :) Gobble gobble!!!

26 weeks

1. How far along: 26 weeks

2. Weight gain: 12lbs @ 25 weeks

3. Movement: TONS- she's a mover & a shaker! Last appt I had she kicked the doppler off my belly~the doc laughed at her ;)

4. Food cravings: None really.. if I think of something good then I really want it but that's not too much different from my normal self lol

5. Emotions: Times are pretty stressful right now with building our house, not in our usual routine, hormones & just being uncomfortable!

6. What I miss: Bending down!

7. Sleep: Ugh.. most nights I'm tossing & turning all night long which hurts the belly. Or I will sleep all night till about 4 and then I'm in & out of sleep until my alarm goes off.

8. Labor signs: I've been having a load of braxtons. Doc said if I have more than 4 in 1 hour that last a minute long to let her know.. most of the time they are only 10-30 seconds long with few that are a minute. I'll just update her when I got back on the 1st (which is also glucose testing time).

9. Best moment of the week/month: Last week Jeffrey & I were laying on the couch watching a movie while Presley was playing soccer. Jeffrey could really feel her kicking & he started talking to her & she would kick back at him ;) It was really cute. Another day a couple weeks ago Kinley was laying in bed with me & she was feeling her kick as well. So sweet :)

10. Gender: Hoping it's still a girl lol! We go for the 3d ultrasound next weekend so they will tell us again the gender :) But for now it's still my Presley Kate!!

4 year well check

Jeffrey & I took Kinley to the doc yesterday for her 4 year well check. She got a great report & also had to have 5 shots :( I thought about splitting them up since I had to add the flu shot on top of everything but Jeffrey thought we should just get it all over with & not make her go thru it twice. And the doc said it would be much harder to get her to come back a 2nd time. SO 5 shots she got :( She did good tho, cried but I think it really scared her more than anything. My poor baby!! I really don't want to do all of this over again with Presley- so sad!

She is 44lbs and 44 inches tall! Easy enough to remember! She's got 20/20 vision & is right on track with her development & learning. Yay for no more shots till she's 12!

Night Time Pull Ups

So I was just hoping to get some input from all you other moms (or dads) out there.

We tried for about 2 months to get Kinley out of pull ups at night time & went back to putting her back in them :/ She did good the first week (or less-ha) & got up to tell us she needed to go. And then EVERY night since we were changing sheets & blankets in the middle of the night. With me being PG & already not sleeping much we decided she really wasn't ready & I didn't need to be up every night since it took me like another hour to fall back to sleep.

So I was wondering if anyone elses kids were having this "problem" too or if anyone is even trying it? Or are they fully potty trained at night? Kinley has been potty trained since she was 2-almost 3. It's just night time that is a problem. Some nights she stays completely dry & sometimes she is soaking wet in the morning so I dunno! My wish was to have her completely off of the pull up bill before Presley came! But it's just not going to happen. We would even set our alarm at 1am to get her up- sometimes it worked & other times she would wet herself at 10pm! We stopped her drinking after like 6:30pm & she would always go right before bed. . the girl just has to tinkle a lot I guess lol!!

House Update

The brick & stone was delivered last week & I believe they started bricking on Friday the 28th. The brick seems a little lighter than I thought it would be, but I'm still fine with it- I think it will look great when it's all done. I'm also hoping the stone is right- looks pretty white compared to the house we got it from ;) But I will let them do their job & prove me wrong! We got the cabinets picked out so when those are ready we will have to pick out the color stain we want for them. Shouldn't be too hard for me!

Things are moving along- cross your fingers that it is DONE by December so I can get Presley's things ready to go! Im SO ready to get her room done NOW!

I just can't wait to move in & make it our HOME. I see so many holidays, birthdays & just happy times with my little family here. This is gunna be where our kiddos grow up & make neighborhood friends & trick or treat on Halloween & wake up every Christmas morning! I can't wait! Nothing can be more joyful than that :)

This past Sunday was Emilia's 1st birthday! All us girls brought our kiddos over for some Halloween fun- Carrie really outdid herself! Kinley loved the bounce house & all the goodies of course! They wore their costumes but I didn't put Kinley in hers bc I knew she would have a hard time running around in her Ariel dress & wig. We still wore Halloween clothes tho ;)

Kinley had a blast trick or treating this year! We had a really good night with her - much better than last year! Mom went to Houston to be with Macy for her 1st one but we still went to their house with PaPa & ventured around their neighborhood. She had just as much fun handing out candy tho! She loved seeing what everyone was dressed up as & giving them ONE pc of candy- lol!

Punkin Patch

I took Kinley to the pumpkin patch earlier today. We just haven't been able to take her before now & they were a little picked over but she still had a really good time! She rounded up her loot & was ready to go! We are planning on carving them tonight- yea, late, I know!

I think this is one of my favorite "Kinley pictures"..she was so happy! She loves Halloween ALMOST as much as me :)

24 weeks

I was 24 weeks yesterday. Baby is almost 2 lbs and if by any reason she were to come now, with a long stay in the NICU she would most likely survive. But we won't hope for an arrival anytime soon!! I have been feeling good- just having a lot of Braxton's which I DO feel. Most women don't even know they are having them but mine are not so friendly. Other than that things are great! I go back to the doc on Tuesday :)

ACL trick or treating

Last night we took Kinley to her schools Halloween open house! She got to go to all of the rooms to trick or treat-she LOVED it! It's a great turn out each year & I always enjoyed dressing up myself when I worked there & seeing all the kids in their costumes!

Kinley finally had her 4th birthday party today!! It was much more relaxing this year- we had 3 great workers there plus our parents helping me get everything together... so it was a much happier day for mommy :)

Today was Kinley's 4th birthday!! Hard to believe she is already 4- it's even harder for me to believe it's already been a year since her 3rd! I feel like I just closed my eyes & lost a year!

Her party isn't until next weekend bc Jeffrey & I were both in a wedding on the 15th. So today (on her bday) we took her to Chuck E Cheese with the fam & then went back to the house for cake & presents!! She had a really good day & was so excited all day! Birthdays are getting really fun now that she knows it is her special day :)

22 weeks

So I have come across a few pregnancy blogs that have these questions/answers for each week or each month. I was thinking about starting it myself since most of these questions I can now answer! I'll probably do it once a month tho :) So here goes:

1. How far along~ 22 weeks (5th month)

2. Weight gain~ 4 lbs.

3. Movement~It's so crazy to think that I have been feeling her for 8 weeks already! I did not start feeling Kinley until this week & I was getting worried..but not the case with this little one! You can really feel her with your hand on my belly now :) She is pretty active at night..oh joy!

4. Food cravings~ I haven't had many "cravings" yet like I did with Kinley. I don't know if they are still to come or if I'm just not going to have it as bad. But I do enjoy pancakes for dinner, sweet tea (which is weird for me) & some sweets! If there is something that sounds good then usually I have to get it or at least have it within a couple days lol!

5. Emotions~ Again, I think with Kinley I was more emotional! I haven't cried at the drop of a hat this time or been moody (unless u ask my hubs-jk)! I've been pretty calm this time so far.

6. What I miss~ I miss having more to wear! Being comfortable at night.

7. Sleep~Again, I miss being comfortable during the night! The prego pillow doesn't do the trick this time. It hurts to turn over- I feel great on my back but don't lay on it long since that is "bad for the baby"...

8. Labor Signs~ NO! Thankfully :) Postponing that as long as possible!

9. Best moment of the week~ Jeffrey getting to feel the baby :)

Just thought I would share some ultrasound pics of my girl (19 weeks)! After we did the big reveal I let everyone look at the pics. I think they turned out great!

Home Sweet Home

Well.. as you all know, Jeffrey & I sold our house & moved in with the good ol parents!

We knew that we were going to have to save big time for a big down payment on something new. The only way we could do that was to move in with Jeffrey's parents & put back that money! So that's what we have been doing since we sold.

And we finally chose our next home..closing on it around the end of December/early January!!

It's a new construction home in the Sunwest addition & it's exactly what we have been wanting! Jeffrey gets what he wants~a media room & I get what I've been wanting~a formal dining room! We are getting to pick our flooring, colors, light fixtures, paint, etc! I am in heaven :) Our first step was to pick the stone/brick combo for the outside of the house. It was pretty easy for me~I'm hoping the rest is just as easy! I love this kind of stuff.

Looky Looky I have a picture!

18 weeks down.. only 1 more week until we find out what lil butter bean is!!

Pretty much the same report from the 16 week post.. I'm still feeling good & everything is going well at this point. I'm just growing & growing...& growing :P Last appt I had only gained 1/2 a pound but I won't know current weight gain until Sept 30 when I head back to the doc. She said after 16 weeks I will start gaining as baby doubles in size.

I haven't had many cravings..yet. Just Subway- I could eat it every single day!! And I've been on a big sweet tea (decaf of course) kick. I never really like tea so it's odd to me lol!

So lets do a poll.. girl or boy?!

We had a fun Labor Day Weekend :) Macy, Connor & Camryn all came down to visit & Kinley just had a blast. Macy is at the age now to play around with the kids so she was pretty well entertained!

My sister posted a picture of Macy on her blog a few weeks ago & I noticed she had Kinley's dress- so of course I had to tell her we needed matching pictures :) I love this first one!

We got all the kiddos to sit STILL for like 2 minutes- but then my camera died, OF COURSE! So I stole this one from my mom :)

16 Weeks

16 weeks! Just 3 more until we find out what we are having! I've been feeling great. I have only gained 1/2 a pound so far which is weird to me!? I eat just fine but I get so full really quick.. which then makes me hungry again in another 2 hrs or so! I've def got the hard belly & haven't been able to wear regular pants for a while.

I had my last appointment on Tuesday. Doc couldn't find the heartbeat so she got out the ultrasound to find butter bean! He/She is sitting way up top & to the right. Doc was surprised but she said everything was normal. Heartbeat at 150bpm. I was just glad I got to see the baby on the screen :) I'm feeling the baby kick now- I didn't think that's really what it was since Kinley took SO long to feel & with her it was more fluttery feeling. This time I can feel the KICK but its not hard by any means. You can't really even feel it on the outside with your hand yet.

Gender ultrasound is on 9/23 & then I go back for my regular check up on 9/30.

Life has been crazy since we moved out..thus the lack of blogging :P I didn't even know where our camera was until today! I promise to try & do better!

How your baby's growing:

Get ready for a growth spurt! In the next few weeks, your baby will double its weight & add inches to its length. Legs are much more developed & its eyes have moved closer in. The ears are also close to their final position as well. The patterning of the scalp has begun, although hair is not recognizable yet! Memory Lane

Well, we have sold our house & are closing on it Friday. I am happy, sad & scared all at the same time! Happy because we will finally get the house we can grow in & raise our little family in. Sad because we are leaving the only house Kinley has known- all her "firsts" were in this house & so many great memories with her. And then I'm scared because we are 4 months pregnant just about and have NO house! LOL! We are staying with my in-laws for the time being until we save up enough money for a down payment on another house as well as pay off credit cards so that we can have the most loaned to us as we possibly can. I'm praying we are in a new home before February comes.. but I think by Christmas we will be set, hopefully ;)

So~ just a walk down memory lane with our home sweet home..

We moved in when Kinley was 4 months old~time sure has flown by!

Halloween/Fall at our house was VERY welcomed! It is my favorite time of year & we always had it decorated ~it felt so "homey" ..

End of Summer

I WISH it was the last day of summer as far as the heat is concerned! Today will be 107 with index of 110-112. UGH!

Anyway

Today is Kinley's big "end of summer" party day at school. They are going to Flips gymnastics first (which they have been during the summer months) & then they will come back & party all day :) I think days like this are what gets my child out of bed in a good mood LOL! She won't be moving up bc she just started this new class in June. So we will be staying put until next June I suppose. But, she will be getting new friends coming into her class so I'm sure it will be a fun change for her still!

13 Weeks

HELLO 2nd Trimester!!

I've been feeling much better & have gotten some energy back. We hung out with some friends last weekend & I managed to stay awake until midnight! I guess they had me entertained!

Kinley is just as excited as ever & things are progressing smoothly thus far. Next appointment : Aug 29th

Baby Details:

Mayborn Museum

This past weekend we took a trip to the Mayborn Museum. They have a new traveling exhibit there of Egyptian things I thought would be cool for Kinley. She enjoyed the camel & the mummy but other than that it was really for much older kids/adults.

We had a good time..even tho there were no boa's or hats to wear in the tea room (her favorite)!!

Well, we went to the doctor today to hear the heartbeat! It took a while & 2 tries but we finally heard it. It was a strong 165 bpm! Kinley was all smiles & was so happy to be there :) I don't know who is more excited about this baby.. me or her!

The other thing is Doc told me I was moved back from 12 weeks 2 days to 11 weeks 4 days :( Not sure why but I do what she says! So that puts me back almost a week. I should find out mid September what we are having!!

Well I made it to 12 weeks! I really am starting to feel better & I'm less tired. THANK GOODNESS! Ready to just relax now & enjoy this pregnancy :)

Silly Socks!

Today was "silly sock day" at school for Kinley! She loves days like this~she looks forward to waking up in the mornings to do it! I took 3-4 pictures this morning & brought the camera with me to work to load them and when I looked at them on the computer..this is the only one that turned out :( She still looks goofy in it but I love it! You can tell she just woke up lol!

And..her shoes are too big LOL! She outgrew her other twinkle toe shoes & since it's summer we just never bought her any new tennis shoes. Emily gave her these brand new ones bc they were the wrong size (10's). But with thick socks they were a better fit! I just hope she didn't trip all over herself at school today!!

Here's the stats for baby this week:

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

I hit the 10 week mark on Monday (yea I'm behind on blogging)! I'm officially in the double digits!

Still feeling yucky & tired & to be honest I can't wait for that 2nd trimester! Everything is good tho with the baby :) My belly is actually starting to get hard on the top already! Yikes!

I go back to the doctor on August 2nd at 11am. I think we will bring Kinley to that one so that we can all hear the heartbeat together! And then I SHOULD be able to find out the sex at the following appointment :) I was 17 weeks with Kinley & if I can get the next appt the week of Sept 5th then I will be 17 weeks then. We shall see!

Here are the stats for baby this week:

We got some free tickets to the circus from my friend Kate & it couldn't have been in town at a better time. Connor & Camryn are with my parents while Jamie & Jeremy are in Vegas-so we all went to the circus! Kinley & Camryn loved it.. Connor was pretty scared, mainly of the loud music & stuff. After intermission & some cotton candy he perked right up though & had a good time. Kinley's favorite part was the acrobatics!

Little Butter Bean

We had our very first baby appointment yesterday afternoon! I was starting to feel nervous about the whole pregnancy because with Kinley.. I went to the doctor for something unrelated & they told me there that I was pregnant! So I already had the docs confirmation that I was. This time I had to wait a month before I heard from the doctors mouth! But we did the ultrasound & little butter bean's heart was beating just fine & growing just fine! I am 8 weeks & 3 days which puts me at a February 17, 2012 due date! We are so excited!! Kinley was disappointed that it wasn't twins like she had hoped.. but she is getting over it! If it's not a girl.. then I don't know what we are going to do with her! I can see a big meltdown in the future!

I had a few concerns about delivery since it went so horribly with Kinley. So doc agreed to induce me a week early if I haven't already started labor on my own. I'm praying this time goes 100% smoother!!

Ashlee's Shower

This past Sunday Kinley & I went to Ashlee's baby shower for Remy! Jessika & Skye went as well & we had a nice time visiting & showering them with gifts! Kinley had a great time with Rylie & Skye ..running around like monkeys!

Skye bear wouldn't be still for a picture! So Ashlee's sister snapped one of the 2 of them. Cute!!

Rosemary & Tiffany came too. It was nice chatting with them. I had never met Rosie in person- just through the blog world & facebook! Sweet girls!

This stuff has been my best friend! I had been feeling really puny & sick to my stomach so I called the nurse & she said she would have Dr. P prescribe me some Zofran. I took it the first day I got it & felt immediate relief! The only thing is the side effect is headaches & I've been getting them right after I take it. I still don't want to eat much but I HAVE to eat cereal as soon as I get up! I wouldn't want it any other way tho! 2 more weeks until my appointment...seems like FOREVER!

Exciting News!

On Monday June 6th we found out Kinley is going to be a..

And she is sooo excited!!

I don't go to the doctor until July 7th. I was originally going to wait until after the appointment to make the announcement on here & facebook.. but Kinley was already starting to talk about it.. and I knew I couldn't get away with it at work with eating crackers & 7up every morning! The sickness is starting to set in. Yesterday Jeffrey & I went to HEB for some groceries & I had to go get back in the car 1/2 way thru bc I thought I was going to toss my cookies :(

Anyway I will update on July 7 with the due date..it should be around February 17th if our predictions are correct!

I'm praying hard for a much easier pregnancy/delivery this go around. It was very rough with Kinley so please send a prayer or two up.. I'm extremely nervous about it!!

1st Field Trip

Kinley had her very 1st field trip today. Her class rode in the bus to Shipley donuts.. & I was a nervous wreck lol! I had my mom follow the bus there & back to make sure they made it safely! I am the mom who doesn't want her kid riding in a school bus. Too many bad things could happen & there are no seatbelts...etc! It just makes me crazy! But, Kinley was super excited & I knew she would just hate me if she was the only one who didn't get to ride. So off she went..

They didn't actually get out of the bus at Shipley's. One of the teachers went in & picked everything up & they went right back to school. I'm sure she will have stories to tell when I pick her up!

On to the next part.. Kinley's class is also swimming today! Again, I didn't want her in swim lessons there bc I couldn't be there to watch her. But.. I sent her in her swimsuit today anyway!

Can I just fast forward to 5pm already? Geez!

Pointe West- Day 2

Saturday was our big & last day! I wish we had more time to spend there bc one full day was def not enough time! We started out by going to the beach to play in the sand & make sand castles!

And then Auntie M, Uncle Jeff & Macy came down for the day! I didn't get any pictures but we went to the lazy river across the street & had more fun! Doesn't Macy look adorable in her kini!!

After the lazy river we came back to our condo & went to the beach again! Camryn stayed inside- she was pooped! So Kinley & Connor got to run around together :)

Friday night we just took the kids to the pool for an hour or so. We didn't get there till around 5ish & the kids were so worn out from the long drive so it was a low key night.

I did Kinley's hair in pigtails before we left the house but for some reason her hair wouldn't curl..so we ended up with Princess Leia buns instead..

We loved our condo & couldn't have asked for anything cleaner & more like home. We had a 2 bedroom condo & it was plenty big for the 7 of us (4 adults, 3 kids)!

This weekend we took Kinley to the beach! We met up with my stepsis Jamie & her family! Kinley loves her Connor & Camryn so I was glad she was able to have some playmates! Auntie M & the fam came for the day on Saturday & we all had a blast!

Since I take a gazillion pictures everywhere I go.. I'm dividing this into a few posts.

So here are some pics of just the grounds. It was a great family place & we WILL be going every year from now on! I highly recommend it :)

Our Mem Day weekend did not exactly go as planned. We still had a great time but no pictures!

On a side note~ Kinley is going to her follow up appt with the ENT doc to check on her throat. Should be a good appt although she started in with fever last night! Ugh, NEVER FAILS!

Memorial Day Weekend

We are so excited for Memorial Day Weekend! Alex will be coming home tomorrow & on Sunday a bunch of us are going to the movies & then having a BBQ at our house. We can Skype with him now that he is out of boot camp & combat training so that has been nice! But we have still really missed him. Hoping to see the new baby as well. Lexie was born on May 16 & we have seen many pictures~can't wait to give Alex gifts for her either :P

I will post pics after the weekend.. I know I have been slacking lately on blogging! I don't think I have taken a single picture with my regular camera since the cruise!

I took Kinley to the doctor this morning to get her stitches out (where her skin tag was). She cried a little when he took them out but she was fine before we left the office! He said her throat looked good & she won't be on the strong pain meds anymore, just regular Tylenol. She is still staying with Nana this week until she has the clear to go back to school.

Thank you to those who have prayed for her & sent well wishes, cards & prizes! She loves every one of you!!

Surgery

On Monday morning Kinley had her tonsils & adenoids taken out. I was a nervous wreck bc I just knew she was going to wake up crying & in pain. But she proved me wrong! She woke up & was a little weird from the anesthesia but she never cried & never said she was hurting. She didn't even cry when they took her IV out! Such a tough girl! The surgery took about 40 minutes total from the time they took her back to the time the doctor came to tell us he was finished!

She also had her skin tag removed from her ear. She has 2 stitches from that & it bothers her a little! We are going back Tuesday at 8:30 to get those taken out.

After she came home on Monday she took an hour nap & then it was all we could do to keep her calm! She was crazy .. I think the Tylenol & codeine pain medicine is getting her wired instead of making her sleepy!!!

After she is all healed up I'm REALLY hoping she will be cured of the sleep apnea & constant breathing problems. She is swollen right now so she's still stuffy & snoring when she sleeps.

Adenoids are behind the uvula in your mouth. Doc said these were also clogging her nasal passage when she sleeps- causing the snoring and gurgling as well as gasping for air. Her tonsils were also so swollen that her airway through the mouth was blocked :/

This is all about 2-3 hrs post surgery..

Nana & PaPa gave her a new build a kitty :) She named her Beachy bc she is SO excited to go to the beach in June!

Mothers Day

Mothers Day was pretty relaxing this year! We just went to my moms to see her & hung out for a little while & then we met Jeffrey's family for dinner at Ninfas ;)

One day we went up top & played putt-putt! It was pretty fun but the course was really small lol! And we got behind 2 bozo's who took 500 million shots at ONE hole!!

Our dining room was called "The Monet Restaurant"

I loved it & was glad we got that one. We were on the top level & could see everyone!

Although I never really enjoyed my food at dinner (Im not a fancy eater) I still wanted to go every night to experience it. Our waitor was good~not really entertaining until the very last night- go figure! But he did a great job. The matre' d didn't do anything either which was kinda disappointing. But overall it was a very nice dinner each night that we went!

We made reservations at the Point Steakhouse one night & man was it GOOD!! Best meal any of us had all week!

Key West

We arrived in Key West on Friday morning bright & early! It was definiatley the hottest place we had been to, surprisingly! We walked A LOT which didn't help my kankles! We walked down Duval Street which had tons & tons of shops & restaurants! We checked out Sloppy Joes bar & then ate lunch at Hard Rock. I had to swtich flip flops there bc the ones I had on were digging into my swollen ankles.. then I didn't match & I was freakin out, ha!!

It was actually pretty hard to find a key lime pie shop which was the ONLY thing I had on my list to do there! We finally found some at some ice cream parlor..but it was still yummy! I can now say that Ive had key lime pie in Key West..check that off the bucket list :)

It was a gorgeous place & I would LOVE to take Kinley there & vacation..but we were really glad to get back on the boat! We were drenched with sweat & very tired! And by this point all 4 of us were really missing our babies!

Of course the Royal Wedding was playing on the big screen that morning!

Once again I was the only one out on the balcony watching us pull into port! I saw another cruise ship on the horizon & watched it come in. Just happened to be a sister ship of the Conquest so this looks exactly like our ship.

It really blew my mind that these big ol boats can stop in the middle of the ocean & spin all the way around in about 1 minute! We did it a couple times & I just thought it was really neat.

Freeport, Bahamas

Jeffrey & I were a little worried about getting off the boat at Freeport. We read a lot of reviews beforehand saying it was dirty & just a big ship yard. OBVIOUSLY these people didn't go very far after getting off the ship! The dock was a commercial shipyard BUT we took a taxi about 20 miles away from the dock & went to a resort called "Our Lucaya." It was so beautiful & clean. We did most of our shopping here & really enjoyed ourselves @ the local bars!

This guy was out in this full on King of Hearts outfit & it was SO hot! We took a couple pictures with him & tipped him 3 bucks haha!

After shopping & walking around we ended up at this place..

In the taxi (van) on the way back. These people in there with us didn't know that you fill up a van back to front so we had to crawl over everyone to get in the very back seats. And then they decided to not give us any A/C & put it all on them so we were DYING back there.. Leon's ears were also bleeding from Cammy talking so much.. LOL

There was another small shopping center right outside the ship so we stopped at another bar lol.. we had some time to kill before getting back on the ship.

Oh boy this is a long post!

I was SO glad Atlantis was our 1st stop because we were ready to see land & get off the boat..so being there 1st was the best thing! This is where Jeffrey & I honeymooned 6 yrs ago (in 1 month) & we have been dying to go back! It's a shame we only got to stay for 5-6 hours.

This was about 6:30am & I was the only one up & on the balcony watching us pull in. We passed another ship~I THINK it might have been the Ecstasy.

Atlantis from a distance.. looks completely different seeing how they were just starting to build those other 2 hotels when we were there. One of our balconies was the view of all the construction :P

I had to take these next 2 pictures for miss Rylie..the lighthouse girl! I knew Atlantis in the back would make it even more cool!

I changed my mind on doing this day by day bc they all ran together & I can't pick what picture was from what day now.

We basically laid out most of the day on the deck on the 2nd day. I got burned mostly on my legs! We also did some gambling in the casino & had formal night in the dining room :)

All us girls got together 2 weeks ago to give Whitney & Casey a couples shower. It was fun/relaxing & they had a nice turnout. We finally got a good picture of us girls that everyone actually liked!

Cruise- Day 1

Day 1~ Arriving in Galveston!

It was a pretty smooth day as far as the drive & waiting in the lines to get on board. It took about 1 hour to drop our luggage off, show passports, security check & get our CC info/sail & sign card & of course take our first official cruise picture (which I forgot to get). I couldn't get any pictures of the outside of the ship so those will just have to wait :)

After we made it on we were bombarded with drinks~not that I passed any up lol. But seriously they made them seem like they were free..boy was I wrong! lol

But at least they tasted good for what we were paying for them! We had to wait about 45 minutes before they let any of us into our rooms so we hung out on the top deck with the wind!

Finally..a ship with an atrium! And it was so pretty :)

Walking down to our room.. we were at the VERY back of the ship so u had to catch the right elevator to avoid walking down the extremely long hallway. We figured that out after day 1!!

But it was well worth the walk~I LOVED our room!!!

And loved our aft wrap balcony even more! My head is poking around the corner at the end (it kept going around there plus we opened up Cammy & Leon's partition to extend it even more). We literally had the biggest balcony on the ship!

After getting settled we had to do the muster drill. I was surprised bc we did not need our life jackets which is usually mandatory. And the "presentation" they gave wasn't much of anything. We just knew our group was to go outside of "Alfred's Bar" to get on a lifeboat if we sank lol!!

Then we pretty much just walked around the ship to figure out where everything was & get acquainted!

This is the theater~I think it was 3 floors. Pretty nice!

We headed back out to the balcony to watch us leave..

Voyager of the Seas was also docked behind us.

We went to dinner that night & went to bed! It was a rocky night with choppy seas but it was ok. I think we felt alot more being in the back of the ship.

Easter

Easter was a bit different for us this year. We celebrated our Easter with Kinley on Saturday bc we left early Sunday morning for the cruise. We still got our time in with the families tho & that's all that mattered.

Friday night Kinley & I dyed the eggs with kool-aid! It was fun..she couldn't quite keep her hands out of the water tho!

Saturday morning she woke up to a filled Easter basket!

And then we went over to PawPaw & Gi's house to hunt eggs with Dylan & Emily!

I guess Dylan is too old now to hunt eggs :( Doesn't seem right!

After that we headed over to Nana & PaPa's for lunch & more egg hunting with Connor, Camryn & Macy.

Ha.. last year there was PRIZE egg letting us all know that Macy was on her way. Kinley was the winner again this year with finding the prize egg..

Ending this 30 day challenge with a picture. We watched Toy Story 3 for the first time last week & I thought Mr. Potato Head as Mr. Tortilla Head was THE funniest part! I haven't laughed that hard in a while! I guess you just have to watch it to think it's funny!

Day #29~3 wishes you have

Didn't I already do a wish list post? :)

I'll just list 3 wishes that were not on the other list.

1. I wish that Kinley could grow up in the same "world" that we did..meaning that I'm not sure what this world is going to be like when she is older. It's really scary to me when you think about these countries like Iraq & North Korea & just thinking about more & more terrorist attacks & possible war outbreaks with nuclear weapons. And then there is the 'end of the world' talk..we can't forget that one! I'm sure our parents worried about the same ideas but they are more real these days. Even gas prices- I wish she wouldn't have to deal with any of that. I used to pay $15 to fill my car up when I was in high school ~ I can't even imagine what it will be like for her!

2. I wish technology would slow down! I will not be one of those parents who gives their kids endless amounts of gadgets & never see them or have dinner with them! We don't have any of the stuff at home that most kids have today & I would like to keep it that way as long as possible! It drives me crazy to see kids texting all hours of the day & just MISS life bc they were too busy worrying about their phone! I would put money on that being the cause of my fender bender was bc the girl was texting & not yielding at her yield sign. Plus I just think it's flat out rude to be so self absorbed :) I miss the days of limited technology as far as these materialistic gadgets are concerned!

3. I wish I could be a stay at home mom & spend more time with Kinley. I'm sure I would spend all of our money if that were the case~but that is beside the point :)
